About The Century Towers
Built in 1964 by Alcoa, William Zeckendorf and Welton Becket Associates, the guard gated and exclusive Century Towers was originally designed as apartments by world renowned architect I.M. Pei. Perhaps best known for the “Pyramide du Louvre,” his landmark glass pyramid addition to the Louvre Museum (Paris, France,) Pei brought his signature styling to the creation of the mid-Century towers. Perfectly positioned on Avenue of the Stars, The Century Towers have become the symbolic gateway to Century City. Originally conceived and built with materials which were considered “high- tech” for the day and age, the Towers remain a significant example of timeless contemporary architecture. The Towers were converted to condominiums in 1972 by the S. John Kreedman Corporation and since have retained a reputation as one of the superior addresses in Los Angeles’s luxury condominium market. Poised on 6 acres of land (making it the largest luxury condominium property in Los Angeles), the Towers are made up of one, two, and three bedroom single story (and few double story) residences on 28 floors, featuring spectacular views of the city, ocean, mountain, and Hillcrest Country Club golf course.
