55 East Erie is an all-residential skyscraper in Chicago. It is at 647 ft (197 m). Designed by Fujikawa Johnson & Associates and Searl & Associates Architects, the 56 story building was completed in 2004 and is the third-tallest all-residential building in the United States after Trump World Tower in New York City, and the nearby 340 on the Park completed in 2007 in Chicago. The design called for flying buttresses around the mechanical penthouse, which were eventually dropped.

The Sony Tower, formerly the AT&T Building, is a 647 feet (197 m) tall, 37-story highrise skyscraper located at 550 Madison Avenue between 55th Street and 56th Street in the New York City borough of Manhattan. It was designed by architect Philip Johnson and partner John Burgee, and was constructed in 1984.

Lake Point Tower is a high-rise residential building located on a promontory of the Lake Michigan lakefront in downtown Chicago, just north of the Chicago River at 505 North Lake Shore Drive. It is located in the Streeterville neighborhood of the Near North Side community area. It rises somewhat apart from the urban cluster of downtown Chicago in a composition that sets off and punctuates the skyline. The building is also the only skyscraper in downtown Chicago east of Lake Shore Drive.

The Millennium Tower is a 58-story highrise residential condominium completed in 2009 in the San Francisco Financial District, South of Market. The footprint from which the blue-gray glass, late-modernist tower is bounded by Mission-, Fremont-, and Beale-Streets, and the north end of the Transbay Terminal. The building was opened to residents on 23 April 2009.

2 World Financial Center is one of the largest skyscrapers in New York City, located at 225 Liberty Street in the Financial District of the New York City borough of Manhattan. Rising 645 feet (197 m), the building is the second tallest of the four buildings in the World Financial Center complex that stands in southwest Manhattan. It is similar in design to Three World Financial Center, except that its roof is dome-shaped rather than 3 WFC's solid pyramid design.
