The 1300 Lafayette East Cooperative is a large, 336 unit luxury housing cooperative in the Lafayette Park neighborhood of the near-east side of Detroit, Michigan. The building is notable for its address "1300" displayed in giant numerals on the North and South sides of the roof which are visible for miles in Detroit and Windsor. Constructed in 1961 and completed in 1964, 1300 Lafayette East stands at 30 floors.

399 Park Avenue is a 41-story office building that is the world headquarters of Citigroup in New York City, United States. Citigroup's chairman and chief executive officer operate from the building's second floor. The company moved to the building from 55 Wall Street; a move which marked a migration of several large banks from downtown to midtown Manhattan. 34 Peachtree Street, formerly known as One Park Tower is a 439ft (134m) tall skyscraper in Atlanta, Georgia. It was completed in 1961 and has 32 floors. It is the 24th tallest building in Atlanta, and was the tallest until it was passed by 2 Peachtree Street in 1966.

The AT&T Switching Center, is a 448ft (137m) tall skyscraper in Los Angeles, California. It was completed in 1961 and has 17 floors. It is the 29th tallest building in Los Angeles. A microwave tower, used from 1961 - 1993, is on top of the building. The building now serves 1.3 million phone lines in the 213 area code for foreign long distance calling.

The Space Needle is a tower in Seattle, Washington, and is a major landmark of the Pacific Northwest region of the United States and a symbol of Seattle. Located at the Seattle Center, it was built for the 1962 World's Fair, during which time nearly 20,000 people a day used the elevators, with over 2.3 million visitors in all for the World Fair. The Space Needle is 605 feet (184 m) high at its highest point and 138 feet (42 m) wide at its widest point and weighs 9,550 tons.

United Western Financial Center is a 357ft (109m) tall skyscraper in Denver, Colorado. It was completed in 1961 and has 24 floors. It is the 28th tallest building in Denver.
