The Legacy at Millennium Park is a 72 story skyscraper in Chicago, Illinois, located along S. Wabash Avenue, near E. Monroe Street. The building contains 360 luxury condominium units, as well as providing 460 parking spaces. Additionally the build includes 41,000 sq ft (3,800 m). (3,809 square meter) of classroom space for the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in the lower floors.
The London Guarantee Building, formerly known as the Stone Container Building, is a historic building located in the Loop community area of Chicago, Illinois. It is known as one of the four 1920s flanks of the Michigan Avenue Bridge (along with the Wrigley Building, Tribune Tower and 333 North Michigan Avenue). It stands on part of the former site of Fort Dearborn. It was designated a Chicago Landmark on April 16, 1996. In 2001, the building was acquired by Crain Communications Inc.
The Madison Square Garden Towers are twin 1,400 ft (427 m)-tall residential skyscrapers proposed for construction north of Madison Square Garden in Midtown Manhattan, New York City. The project features a complex of seven buildings, including a stadium and a new Penn Station. The cost of the project is USD$ 14 billion. The architects Norman Foster, David Childs, and the architectural firm Skidmore, Owings and Merrill are designing the project. The owners are Stephen Ross of Related Cos.
The Mandarin Oriental Tower in Chicago will be a 74-story 930 foot (283 m) mixed use building targeted to be the ninth tallest building in Chicago upon its completion, assuming Waterview Tower is completed first (currently under construction). Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, which does not have an equity stake in the project, is lending its name to the development and management of the hotel.
Marquis is a skyscraper in the City of Miami, Florida, United States. It is located in northeastern Downtown, and forms part of the Biscayne Wall, a series of skyscrapers visible from Biscayne Bay along the west side of Biscayne Boulevard. It was topped out in March 2008. The tower is 700 feet (210 m) tall and contains 67 floors. The building currently stands as the 3rd tallest building in Miami and the state of Florida, behind the Four Seasons Hotel Miami and the Wachovia Financial Center.
BNY Mellon Center is a 54-story skyscraper located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The height to its structural top is 792 ft (241 m). Construction was completed in 1990. The building was formerly called Mellon Bank Center until 2009, when it was renamed as part of a branding initiative for the newly formed Bank of New York Mellon. The building was designed by the architectural firm of Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates and is owned by HRPT Properties Trust.
The MetLife Building, originally called the Pan Am Building, is a skyscraper located at 200 Park Avenue in Midtown Manhattan, New York City. The MetLife Building (then Pan Am Building) was the largest commercial office building in the world when it opened on March 7, 1963. It is a recognizable part of the Manhattan skyline and one of the fifty tallest buildings in the United States. Pan American World Airways was the building's owner for many years.
The Metropolitan Tower is a 77-story, 716 ft (218 m) residential skyscraper in Manhattan, New York City, standing at 146 West 57th Street. The building has 235 apartment units. The tower could be described as an international style tower, but it was described as postmodern, because it features setbacks and triangular shapes, dark glass and a sculpted base. Construction started in 1984, and was finished in 1987.
Tower Verre, also known as the MoMA Expansion Tower and 53 West 53rd Street, is a supertall skyscraper proposed by the real estate company Hines to rise in Midtown Manhattan, New York City adjacent to the Museum of Modern Art. The building, designed by Jean Nouvel, initially was proposed to stand 1,250 feet (381 m) tall (the same height as the Empire State Building below its mast) and contain 75 floors.
The New York Times Building is a skyscraper on the west side of Midtown Manhattan that was completed in 2007. Its chief tenant is The New York Times Company, publisher of the The New York Times, The Boston Globe, the International Herald Tribune, as well as other regional papers. Construction was a joint venture of The Times Company, Forest City Ratner Companies—the Cleveland-based real estate firm redeveloping the Brooklyn Atlantic rail yards—and ING Real Estate.
