The building was planned for construction in Lower Manhattan, and designed by renowned Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava. However, the project was canceled on April 16, 2008 in the wake of a declining real estate market. The design of the building consisted of 12 four-storey cubes stacked on top of one another, cantilevered off a central concrete column standing above an 8-storey base.
