The Ameritrust Tower (formerly known as the Cleveland Trust Tower) is a brutalist skyscraper located in downtown Cleveland, Ohio. The building is 29 stories and rises to a height of 383 ft (117 m). It was designed by Marcel Breuer and Hamilton Smith and completed in 1971. The tower faces East 9th Street, and although plans called for a second mirror-image tower along Euclid Avenue, the second building was never constructed.

Atlanta Plaza is a 425ft (130m) tall skyscraper in Atlanta, Georgia. It was completed in 1986 and has 32 floors. Smallwood, Reynolds, Stewart, Stewart & Associates, Inc.designed the building, which is tied with 1100 Peachtree as the 25th tallest building in Atlanta.

Atlantic Center Plaza is a 24-floor office highrise located at 1180 West Peachtree Street in Atlanta Georgia, across the street from the One Atlantic Center. The plaza was completed in 2001. One Atlantic Center and Atlantic Center Plaza are connected by an underground tunnel that runs beneath West Peachtree Street. Atlantic Center Plaza bears a striking resemblance to One Atlantic Center, although the former is only approximately half the height of the latter.

The Atlantis Condominium is a landmark 20-story luxury condominium in Miami, Florida. It was built between 1980-1982 and was designed by the architectural firm Arquitectonica. The building is known for its glass facade and primary color scheme and the 5-story palm court which is cut out of the building. The palm court features a red spiral staircase, a jacuzzi, and a palm tree.

The Auditorium Building in Chicago, Illinois, is one of the best-known designs of Dankmar Adler and Louis Sullivan. Completed in 1889, the building is located on South Michigan Avenue, at the northwest corner of Michigan Avenue and Congress Parkway. It was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1975. It was designated a Chicago Landmark on September 15, 1976. In addition, it is a historic district contributing property for the Chicago Landmark Historic Michigan Boulevard District.

The Hilton Austin Convention Center Hotel is the largest and tallest hotel in Austin, Texas at 115 m (377 ft) tall with 31 stories. Designed by Ellerbe Becket Inc and Susman Tisdale Gayle Architects (now STG Design, Inc), the building broke ground on July 10, 2001 and topped out officially on January 17, 2003, a span of 1 year, 6 months, and 7 days. The largest ballroom in Austin also is located in this 31 story monolith.

AVA is an approved 445 ft (136 m) tall skyscraper in Seattle, Washington. The building, designed by Weber + Thompson, will have 39 floors, and will be located at 8th Avenue and Pine Street. There will be a luxury hotel on floors 10 through 17, with 200 condominiums comprising the upper floors. Construction is set to complete in 2010, however it has been postponed until the economy recovers.

Avalon Cove is a 337ft (115m) tall skyscraper in Jersey City, New Jersey. It was completed 1999 and has 25 floors. It is the 13th tallest building in the city.

Avenue on Brickell is a residential high-rise complex in the Brickell district of Miami, Florida. The project consists of two high-rise residential towers, Avenue on Brickell East Tower and Avenue on Brickell West Tower. Both towers were topped off in early 2007, and were structurally completed in late 2007. Avenue East Tower, the taller of the two buildings, stands at 480 feet (146 meters), with 47 floors and its entrance is on Brickell Avenue.

The AXA Center (originally The Equitable Tower or Equitable Center West) is a 752 foot (229.3 m) tall skyscraper located in New York City. It was built in 1986 in the postmodern style by architect Edward Larrabee Barnes and currently serves as the Headquarters for AXA Financial which consists of a number of subsidiaries of french-based insurance and baning company AXA, such as AXA Equitable Life Insurance and Mutual of New York.
