Paramount Plaza (formerly the Uris Building or 1633 Broadway) is a 48-story skyscraper on Broadway in New York City that houses two Broadway theatres. In 2007 it was listed as number 46 on the List of tallest buildings in New York City. The building, designed by Emery Roth and Sons, was built in 1970 on the site of the Capitol Theatre movie house by the Uris brothers who at the time claimed to be the largest private developers in New York City.
The Residences at The Ritz-Carlton is a luxury residential skyscraper in Center City in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. At 518 feet (158 m), the 48-story skyscraper is the tenth-tallest building in Philadelphia, and the tallest residential tower in the city. The building was erected on the former site of One Meridian Plaza which was seriously damaged by a deadly fire in 1991. One Meridian Plaza was demolished in 1999 and the property was sold by E/R Partners to the Arden Group the next year.
Sheraton New Orleans, located at 500 Canal Street in the Central Business District of New Orleans, Louisiana, is a 48-story, 479 feet (146 m)-tall skyscraper.
The Time-Life Building, located at 1271 Avenue of the Americas (6th Avenue) in Rockefeller Center in New York opened in 1959 and designed by the Rockefeller family's architect Wallace Harrison, of Harrison, Abramovitz, and Harris. It was the first expansion of Rockefeller Center west of the Avenue of the Americas. Air rights for the building were purchased from the Roxy Theatre to the west. The Roxy would be torn down in 1960 and an office building that is connected to Time-Life was built.
The Transamerica Pyramid is the tallest and most recognizable skyscraper in the San Francisco skyline. Although the building no longer houses the headquarters of the Transamerica Corporation, it is still strongly associated with the company and is depicted in the company's logo. Designed by architect William Pereira, at 260 m (850 ft), upon completion it was among the five tallest buildings in the world.
