The John Hancock Tower officially named, Hancock Place and colloquially known as The Hancock, is a 60-story, 790-foot (241 m) skyscraper in Boston. The tower, the tallest in the city, was designed by Henry N. Cobb of the firm now known as Pei Cobb Freed & Partners and was completed in 1976. In 1977, the American Institute of Architects presented the firm with a National Honor Award for the building.

The MetLife Building, originally called the Pan Am Building, is a skyscraper located at 200 Park Avenue in Midtown Manhattan, New York City. The MetLife Building (then Pan Am Building) was the largest commercial office building in the world when it opened on March 7, 1963. It is a recognizable part of the Manhattan skyline and one of the fifty tallest buildings in the United States. Pan American World Airways was the building's owner for many years.

Nelson Tower is a 171 meter (560 feet) tall building located at 450 7th Avenue on Manhattan Island, New York, United States. It was completed in 1931 and became the tallest building in the Garment district of New York. Today it is dwarfed by the 60 story One Penn Plaza that sits across 34th Street from the Nelson Tower but still visible from most directions except the southeast. It was designed by H. Craig Severance.

One Chase Manhattan Plaza is a banking skyscraper located in the downtown Manhattan Financial District of New York City, between Pine, Liberty, Nassau, and William Streets. Construction on the building was completed in 1961. It has 60 floors, with 5 basement floors, and is 248 meters (813 ft) tall, making it the 11th tallest building in New York City, the 40th tallest in the United States, and the 137th tallest building in the world.

The Opera Tower is a residential skyscraper in Miami, Florida, United States. It was developed by Florida East Coast Realty, and was completed in late 2007. The Opera Tower received its temporary certificate of occupancy on December 26, 2007. The 60-story tower is located at 1750 North Bayshore Drive in Media and Entertainment District, just north of Downtown Miami, and contains 635 luxury condominiums. Resales for condominiums units were handled by Vistas International Realty.

Pacific Plaza Park will be a 3.0-acre (12,000 m) public park located in downtown Dallas, Texas, USA. The park will be located between St. Paul Street and Harwood Street, north of Pacific Avenue in the City Center District. The City of Dallas acquired the land—currently parking lots—with help from the Trust for Public Land. A timeline for construction of the $9 million park has not been set.

The Palace Hotel Residential Tower is a proposed residential skyscraper at the corner of Jessie & Annie Streets in the South of Market district of San Francisco, California. If constructed as proposed, at 204 m (669 ft) and 60 storeys, the tower will also replace an annex of the Palace Hotel, will be the tallest residential building in the city, and the tallest South of Market.

South Bay Tower, also known as the Gateway Center, is a proposed skyscraper planned for Boston, Massachusetts. If completed, South Bay Tower would stand as the tallest building in Boston, Massachusetts, and New England, surpassing the 60-story John Hancock Tower by 7 stories and at least 10 feet (3.0 m). However, the building would not surpass Trans National Place, another tall skyscraper proposal for Boston that was scheduled to be completed in 2011.

The South Ferry Plaza, also called A Lighthouse At The Tip Of The Island, was a supertall skyscraper proposed to rise right next to the East River on Manhattan Island in New York City. The building would have sat on top of the South Ferry terminal and tower 1,084 ft (330 m) above street level, with 60 stories of office space. It was designed by architect Fox & Fowle Architects and Leslie E. Robertson Associates.

SunTrust Plaza (originally known as One Peachtree Center) is a skyscraper in downtown Atlanta. It is 871 feet (265 m) tall and has 60 stories of office space. Built as part of the Peachtree Center complex, construction was finished in 1992, and has been the second-tallest building in Atlanta since then. When completed, it was the 28th tallest building in the world, and 21st tallest building in the USA.
