The Ordway Building (also known as One Kaiser Plaza) is a skyscraper located in downtown Oakland, California. The building lies close to Oakland's Lake Merritt and the tower contains 28 stories of office space. There are eight corner offices per floor, since the skyscraper has a "H"-shaped floor plan. Standing at 404 feet (123 m) tall, the Ordway Building is the tallest skyscraper in both the city of Oakland and in the Bay Area outside of San Francisco.

The Pan American Life Building, located at 601 Poydras Street in the Central Business District of New Orleans, Louisiana, is a 28-story, 322 feet (98 m)-tall high-rise building. Designed by Skidmore, Owings and Merrill, it was built in 1980 as the headquarters for the Pan-American Life Insurance Co. In December 2006, Pan American sold the building to Equastone, a California real estate company.

The Renaissance Tower is a 372ft (113m) skyscraper in Sacramento, California. It was completed in 1989, and has 28 floors. When it was built it was the tallest building in Sacramento, and is now the 5th. Locals also call this building the "Darth Vader" building due to its dark ominous appearance.

The Towers at Harbor Court is a residential high-rise complex in Baltimore, Maryland. The building rises 28 floors and 356 feet (109 m) in height, and stands as the 12th-tallest building in the city. The structure was completed in 1987. The Towers at Harbor Court complex was developed by Allied Roofing and Sheetmetal, Inc.; the structure is an example of modern architecture. The building currently stands as the tallest residential building in both Baltimore and Maryland.

Washington Square is a high-rise in downtown Detroit, Michigan. Built in 1981 as Trolley Plaza (in reference to the trolley that ran along Washington Boulevard at the time), the residential building stands 28 stories tall. The building is located at 1431 Washington Boulevard and occupies the block bordered by Clifford Street, Grand River Avenue and Washington Boulevard.
