The Jeffersonian Apartments is a large apartment building on Detroit, Michigan's near-east side, at 9000 East Jefferson Avenue. Built in 1965, primarily of glass and steel in the international architecture style, it stands 30 stories and contains 412 residential units. The site is close to the MacArthur Bridge and Belle Isle. As the building is situated on a steep slope, the Jefferson Avenue entrance is 17 feet higher than the back entrance along the Detroit River.

jLofts on the Market is a 6-story mid-rise, 51 unit, condominium project with street level retail and office space located at 1308 Jackson Street in the historic Old Market District in downtown Omaha, Nebraska. jLofts is the only new condo development built from the ground up in the Old Market. The building is located on 13th and Jackson Streets. The project is expected to be completed late 2009.

John Adams Hall, also known as John Adams Tower, is a skyscraper in Amherst, Massachusetts that is built in the modernist style. It is named after former vice president and President of the United States John Adams. It is part of the Southwest Residential Area at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. When was built, it was known as the Southwest (South) Dormitory I. The building is also among the five top tallest dorms at the university and the Umass system.

John Hancock Center at 875 North Michigan Avenue in the Streeterville area of Chicago, Illinois, is a 100-story, 1,127-foot (344 m) tall skyscraper, constructed under the supervision of Skidmore, Owings and Merrill, with chief designer Bruce Graham and structural engineer Fazlur Khan. The John Ross Tower is a condominium skyscraper in the South Waterfront neighborhood in Portland, Oregon, United States. It stands at a height of 325 feet (99 m), the first building in the district to reach the maximum height allowed for development and Portland's seventh-tallest building. It is also the largest residential building built in Portland since the KOIN Center in 1984. It was designed by the firm of TVA Architects and topped out in 2007.

It contains graduate research rooms on the upper floors as well as the offices of some of the science departments. The lower floors contain classrooms. The building is also connected to the Lederle Lowrise and other surrounding buildings through skyways.
