The Phoenix Tower is adjacent to Greenway Plaza and located in an area between Downtown Houston and Uptown. In 1983 Hurricane Alicia blew large chunks of concrete and steel from the under-construction parking deck onto the Buffalo Speedway.

Platinum on the Bay is an approved skyscraper in Miami, Florida. It was approved by the City of Miami and the Federal Aviation Administration in 2005, and the original developer sold the land and design in the summer of 2006. Construction began in August 2007 but was never finished. The building site is located in northern Midtown Miami, near the Wynwood district. It is a bayfront property, located on Northeast 7th Avenue between 29th and 30th Streets.

Plaza on Brickell is an urban development in the City of Miami, Florida, United States. The complex consists of two skyscrapers and a retail center at the base, connecting the two towers. The towers completed construction in late 2007. The Plaza on Brickell Tower I, the taller of the two buildings, rises 610 feet (190 m) and 56 floors. The Plaza on Brickell Tower II is 525 feet (160 m) tall, and has 48 floors. The two towers, although different in height, are twin towers in design.

Built in 1974, it replaced the old Public Service Company building at 420 Central SW as PNM Resources's headquarters. The building is part of the Alvarado Square complex, which consists of the 12-story PNM tower and a shorter structure across the street on the north side of Silver Avenue.

The Potter Building is an iron-framed office building located at 35-38 Park Row in Manhattan, NY. Commissioned by Orlando B. Potter and designed by Norris G. Starkweather, it was constructed from 1883 to 1886. It replaced one of the New York World's former buildings which burned down in 1882 doing more than $400,000 in damage. The facade was constructed of brick and terracotta, which was chosen by Potter due to its fire resistance and low cost.

The Powhatan or Powhatan Apartments is a 22-story luxury apartment building overlooking Lake Michigan and adjacent to Burnham Park in the Kenwood neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. The building was designed by architects Robert S. de Golyer and Charles L. Morgan. Much of the Art Deco detailing is attributed to Morgan. The exterior of the luxury-apartment highrise reflects Eliel Saarinen's second place design for the Tribune Tower competition of 1922.
