In 2002, the AIA San Francisco / San Francisco Business Times honored this office tower with the 2002 Honor Awards for Architecture due to the building's architecture.

It was dedicated Oct 24th, 2000 in front of an audience of over 400 people. The courthouse was built on the site of the former Hotel Fontenelle which was razed in 1983.
