111 South Wacker Drive is an office tower located in Chicago. Completed in 2005 at 681 feet (208 m), the 51 story blue-glass structure is one of the tallest in the city. It sits on the site of the former U.S. Gypsum Building, one of the tallest demolished buildings in Chicago. Designed by Goettsch Partners, the building is noted for its unique parking ramp. The ramp's cyclical form creates a dramatic sloped ceiling for the building's main lobby underneath.
1700 East 56th Street, also known as 1700 Building, is a 38-story luxury apartment building overlooking Lake Michigan and adjacent to Jackson Park and the Museum of Science and Industry in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Chicago in Cook County, Illinois, United States. Designed by Loewenberg Architects, its construction was completed in 1968, followed by a condominium conversion in 1994.
181 West Madison Street is a skyscraper located in Chicago. Built in 1990, the building is 680 feet (207 m) tall and contains 50 floors. It is architect Cesar Pelli's first and only completed tower in the city. The glassy office tower's most distinctive feature is its recessed crown. The top of the building is illuminated white at the corners, as well as other various colors depending on the holiday.
29 South LaSalle is a proposed 51 story skyscraper in Chicago, Illinois designed by Lucien Lagrange Architects. It would stand at 870 feet (265 m). This project would include a "renovation", and facdectomy of the adjacent New York Life Insurance Building. 29 S. LaSalle was at one time the site of the Equitable building, formerly known as the National Life building, built in 1902. It was 12 stories and one basement high, on spread foundations. Jennie and Mundie were the architects.

At 961 feet (293 m) tall, it is the sixth tallest building in Chicago and the 15th tallest in the United States. It was once the second tallest reinforced concrete building in the world (after Two Prudential Plaza, also in Chicago).The building is also the tallest building in the world known by its street address.
333 West Wacker Drive is a highrise office building in Chicago, Illinois. On the side facing the Chicago River, the building features a curved green glass façade, while on the other side the building adheres to the usual rectangular street grid. The architecture firm Kohn Pederson Fox Associates who designed 333 also designed the high-rise buildings 225 W Wacker to the east, and 191 N Wacker Drive to the south.
340 on the Park is a residential tower in the Lakeshore East development of the neighborhood of New Eastside/ East Loop Chicago and was completed in 2007. It is currently the second tallest all-residential building in Chicago (One Museum Park being the current tallest) at 672 feet (205 meters) with 62 floors. The architectural firm Solomon Cordwell Buenz designed the tower and it was built by Magellan Development.

It was once the tallest building outside of New York City. As with many claims of superior height, definitions are important. This claim ignores the Chicago Temple Building's steeple.
