About The Pinnacle at Symphony Place
The Pinnacle at Symphony Place is a 29 story, 417 feet (127 m) office and retail skyscraper located in Nashville, Tennessee, in the city's SoBro (South of Broadway) district. Located across the street from the Schermerhorn Symphony Center, the building officially opened on February 10, 2010. The building includes 500,000 square feet of Class A office space and 24,000 square feet of retail space. The Pinnacle is home to Nashville law firm Bass Berry & Sims and Nashville-based Pinnacle Financial Partners. It is the first building in downtown Nashville to gain Silver LEED Certification due to its energy-efficient design. The building features a green roof over the parking garage and a water recycling system, among other environmentally-friendly amenities. The tower was designed by Pickard Chilton & Associates of New Haven, Connecticut, and Everton Oglesby of Nashville. According to architect Jon Pickard, the tower's exterior design "takes its inspiration from the timeless design of classic skyscrapers." In early May 2010, the garage of this tower was damaged in a major flooding incident.
