1740 Broadway (formerly the MONY Building or Mutual of New York Building) is a 25-story building owned by Vornado Realty Trust on a trapezoid lot on the northern edge of Times Square in New York City. The building has long been famous for the 150-foot (46 m) high tower and weather star advertising the insurance company under its acronym MONY. It was the inspiration for the Tommy James & The Shondells song Mony Mony.

Nelson Tower is a 171 meter (560 feet) tall building located at 450 7th Avenue on Manhattan Island, New York, United States. It was completed in 1931 and became the tallest building in the Garment district of New York. Today it is dwarfed by the 60 story One Penn Plaza that sits across 34th Street from the Nelson Tower but still visible from most directions except the southeast. It was designed by H. Craig Severance.

The New York Life Insurance Building, New York is the headquarters of the New York Life Insurance Company. It was designed in 1926 by Cass Gilbert, designer of the landmark Woolworth Building; the massive building rises forty stories to its pyramidal gilded roof and occupies the full block between 26th and 27th Streets, Madison Avenue and Park Avenue South, a rarity in New York.

The New York Times Building is a skyscraper on the west side of Midtown Manhattan that was completed in 2007. Its chief tenant is The New York Times Company, publisher of the The New York Times, The Boston Globe, the International Herald Tribune, as well as other regional papers. Construction was a joint venture of The Times Company, Forest City Ratner Companies—the Cleveland-based real estate firm redeveloping the Brooklyn Atlantic rail yards—and ING Real Estate.

The New York World Building was a skyscraper in New York City designed by early skyscraper specialist George Browne Post and built in 1890 to house the now-defunct newspaper, The New York World. It was razed in 1955. Construction of the New York World Building began on October 10, 1889, at 53-63 Park Row, on the corner of Park Row and the now-closed Frankfort Street. The building was completed on December 10, 1890.

The 43-story New Yorker Hotel (481 Eighth Avenue, New York City) was built in 1929 and opened its doors on January 2, 1930. It was designed by the architectural firm of Sugarman and Berger. Much like its contemporaries, the Empire State Building (opened in 1931) and the Chrysler Building (opened in 1930), the New Yorker is designed in the Art Deco style that was popular in the 1920s and 1930s.

The Olympic Tower is a 620ft (189m) tall skyscraper in New York City, New York. It was constructed from 1972 to 1976 and has 51 floors. Skidmore, Owings & Merrill designed the building, which is tied with 10 East 40th Street for the 71st tallest building in New York. The tower has 225 units, 92,900 m² of floor area, and is the first building in the city to combine retail, offices, a museum, and apartments.

One Astor Plaza is a 745 ft (227 m) high skyscraper in Times Square in Midtown Manhattan, New York City. Completed in 1972, the building is 54 stories tall and was designed by Der Scutt of Ely J. Kahn & Jacobs. Originally known as the W.T. Grant Building, it is currently the headquarters for Viacom and houses the MTV Studios, Minskoff Theatre, the Nokia Theatre at Times Square, and some retail outlets. It is located at 1515 Broadway at West 45th Street.

One Chase Manhattan Plaza is a banking skyscraper located in the downtown Manhattan Financial District of New York City, between Pine, Liberty, Nassau, and William Streets. Construction on the building was completed in 1961. It has 60 floors, with 5 basement floors, and is 248 meters (813 ft) tall, making it the 11th tallest building in New York City, the 40th tallest in the United States, and the 137th tallest building in the world.

1 Dag Hammarskjold Plaza is a 628 ft (191m) tall skyscraper in New York City, New York. It was completed in 1972 and has 49 floors. It has 69,675 m² of floor area and is the 65th tallest building in New York. Its main usage is office space, the United Kingdom Government have their mission to the United Nations located there.
