225 Bush Street is a 25 floor building, including 21 floors of office space, 1 floor of retail, 1 storage floor and 2 basement levels including the garage in San Francisco. It was the tallest building in the city from its completion in 1922 to 1925. It is currently owned by SEB Investment out of Germany. It contains approx 560,000 sq ft of rentable space. It is an historic building, being the head quarters for Standard Oil of California, now Chevron, for over half a century. Composed of two buildings, the old wing was built in the 1920's. The new wing was built in the 1950's. Currently managed and leased by Jones Lang LaSalle, it is a one of a kind asset. Exceptionally close to public transportation in the heart of downtown San Francisco, it has been the headquarters for more than just Chevron. During the late 1990's, the short lived NBCi or NBC Internet had selected the building to be its hub. After the dot com bubble burst, the building had tenants ranging from Law Firms to Environmental Companies to furniture designers. Several non profits are also in the building include Jewish Vocational Services and New Leaders for New Schools.
