Madison Plaza is a skyscraper in Chicago, Illinois. The building rises 599 feet (182 m) in the Chicago Loop. It contains 45 floors, and was completed in 1982. Madison Plaza currently stands as the 36th-tallest building in the city. The architectural firm who designed the building was Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, the same firm who designed Chicago's Willis Tower and John Hancock Center and the Burj Khalifa in Dubai.

The Manhattan Life Insurance Building, at No. 1 Wall Street, was one of the earliest skyscrapers of New York City. The building, which rose to 348 feet (106.1 m), was completed in 1894 to designs by the New York firm of Kimball & Thompson, and was slightly extended in 1904. It was the first skyscraper to pass the 100 meter mark.

The Marine Midland Building (also HSBC Bank Building) is a 51-story office building located at 140 Broadway in Manhattan's financial district. It is located in northeastern Downtown, and forms part of the Biscayne Wall, a series of skyscrapers visible from Biscayne Bay along the west side of Biscayne Boulevard. It was topped out in March 2008. The tower is 700 feet (210 m) tall and contains 67 floors. The building currently stands as the 3rd tallest building in Miami and the state of Florida, behind the Four Seasons Hotel Miami and the Wachovia Financial Center.

1166 is a 600-feet (183-meter) tall skyscraper located at 1166 Avenue of the Americas in New York City, New York. It was completed in 1974 and has 44 floors. Skidmore, Owings & Merrill designed the building, which is the 82nd tallest in New York City. It is formerly the headquarters of Marsh & McLennan.

When opened in 1930, the Merchandise Mart or the Merch Mart, located in the Near North Side, Chicago, Illinois, was the largest building in the world with 4,000,000 square feet (372,000 m) of floor space. The Merchants Building is a commercial building located at 206 E. Grand River Avenue (at Broadway Street) in Detroit, Michigan. It is also known as the Broadway Merchants Building. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. The Merchants Building was designed by Otto Misch in 1922 for John Barlum (who also constructed the Barlum Tower).

The Metropolitan Life Tower (also known as Metropolitan Life Insurance Company Building or Met Life Tower) is a landmark skyscraper located at One Madison Avenue in the borough of Manhattan in New York City. Designed by the architectural firm of Napoleon LeBrun & Sons, the tower is modeled after the Campanile in Venice, Italy. It was constructed in 1909 and served as world headquarters of the company until 2005.

Residences range in size from 1,200 square feet (110 m) to 4,000 square feet (370 m). Penthouses feature 360 degree city views and private elevators.
