The Michigan Building is an office building and former theatre in downtown Detroit, Michigan. It was constructed in 1925 and stands at 13 floors in height. It contains retail space, offices, and a parking garage. The high-rise was constructed in the neo-classical architectural style, and is made primarily of limestone. The office building once also housed the Michigan Theater, which was the 2nd largest theater in Detroit (after the 5,048 seat Fox). The theatre opened on August 23, 1926.

Midwest Plaza is a 320-foot (98 m) tall skyscraper in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It was completed in 1969, and has 20 floors. It is the 30th-tallest building in the city and is located on Nicollet Mall. At the time of its completion, the building stood as the fifth-tallest structure in Minneapolis, and the city's second-tallest post-World War II high-rise, behind One Financial Plaza. A skyway connects the building to The Metro Apartments, the Medical Arts Building, and the IDS Center.

Millennium Centre is a postmodern skyscraper in Chicago, Illinois in the city's Near North Side neighborhood. The building rises 610 feet (186 m). It contains 59 floors, and was completed in 2003. The architectural firm who designed the building was Solomon Cordwell Buenz & Associates.

The Monadnock Building, also known as Monadnock Block, is a historic proto-skyscraper in the Loop district of downtown Chicago, Illinois. It is arguably the world's first skyscraper. The Monadnock is the tallest commercial building in the world with masonry load-bearing walls. It is located at 53 West Jackson Blvd. The seventeen-story building stands 197 feet (60 meters) tall.

1740 Broadway (formerly the MONY Building or Mutual of New York Building) is a 25-story building owned by Vornado Realty Trust on a trapezoid lot on the northern edge of Times Square in New York City. The building has long been famous for the 150-foot (46 m) high tower and weather star advertising the insurance company under its acronym MONY. It was the inspiration for the Tommy James & The Shondells song Mony Mony.

Nashua Street Residences is an approved high-rise building approved for construction adjacent to North Station and TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. The building will stand at 415 feet (127 meters) with 37 floors. Construction was slated to begin in late 2007, and scheduled to be completed by 2008, but the project has since stalled. Upon completion, it will stand as the 26th-tallest building in the city.

The New York Times Building is a skyscraper on the west side of Midtown Manhattan that was completed in 2007. Its chief tenant is The New York Times Company, publisher of the The New York Times, The Boston Globe, the International Herald Tribune, as well as other regional papers. Construction was a joint venture of The Times Company, Forest City Ratner Companies—the Cleveland-based real estate firm redeveloping the Brooklyn Atlantic rail yards—and ING Real Estate.

The Newport Tower (also known as Newport Office Center II and 525 Washington Boulevard) in Newport, Jersey City, New Jersey is the third tallest building in Jersey City. It has 37 floors, it is 531 ft (162 m) tall and is connected to a mall (called the Newport Centre Mall) within the complex. The mall is one of the few enclosed, regional shopping facility in Hudson County. The building was developed by Melvin Simon & Associates in 1990.

The AT&T Huron Road Building (formally known as the Ohio Bell Building) is an art deco skyscraper located at 750 Huron Road in downtown Cleveland, Ohio. It serves as the corporate headquarters for Ohio Bell, a regional telephone company owned by AT&T. The building has 24 stories and rises to a height of 365 ft (111 m).

The Olympia Centre is a skyscraper in Chicago. It is a mixed use building consisting of offices in the lower part of the building and residences in the narrower upper section. It was designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP, and at 725 ft (221 m) tall, with 63 floors, it is Chicago's tallest mid-block building. The exterior is Swedish granite, which was completed in Italy. Construction started in 1981, and was completed in 1986.
